Pearl Harbor

We got up early today - both because of jet lag but also because we wanted to get to Pearl Harbor early as we had heard that the lines can get long.

Pearl Harbor is still an active Navy port and home of CINCPACFLT. It was also the site of Japanese sneak attack on December 7, 1941, and has museums and memorials commemorating that Day of Infamy.

The main site the the USS Arizona Memorial. But there are a number of other sites to visit, including the "Mighty Mo," the Battleship Missouri where the Japanese surrendered in 1945.

Here are a few pictures from our day in Pearl.

In the afternoon, we went back to the beach and the kids enjoyed some time on the boogey boards.
